We stayed in the Hotel Brighton in the Rue Rivoli overlooking the Louvre, Toullier Gardens and Eiffel Tower - and it was great! well worth paying a little bit extra for a 'deluxe room' which gave us a brilliant view and a balcony. Old french hotel with no bar but an enormous room. It cost about £89 a night for the double deluxe room.
